I believe in some rulesets bolts come in cases of some kind, that are attached to the crossbow almost like a magazine for a gun. In 3.0 they were, 3.5 only seems to have that "alchemical silver" BS. So, a quiver can hold up to 20 arrows for a bow, but I dont think Ive ever seen anything about what if any storage is required for crossbow bolts, at least in 5th.
